Relationships.....

DISCLAIMER: THIS POST IS just a superficial yet divergent analysis of a conversation in aftermath. The Author takes no responsibility of anything.

Something weird happened on that lazy afternoon. Different tales about relationships started to have similar pattern. Each member of love club thinks his or her relationship is special. During this casual chat I started to investigate with Juvi these patterns which were seen in people who were in relationships around us.

Top list for girls getting attracted to guys (usual clichés no surprises)
1) money
2) looks
3) intelligence ( which usually varies with intelligence of the girl )
4) sense of humor ( Hmmmm he should make her laugh hmmmmm)
5) sensitive and understanding ( He should give me all the attention )
6) past relationships
7) options ( available in the market with all the above conditions applied )

These were the primary reasons according to her why people got into love. Top two reasons played an important role in decision making process. The interesting factor which evolved out of this list was the sense of timing relationships happened. Each relationship has a sense of time in it. A relationship can happen purely based upon context and time. If timing is the reason for a relationship then it is bound to fail. As the aphorism goes time changes with time (it’s not a aphorism but what the hell). The role of past relationships plays an intense role in the present relationship. Her range of past relationship’s experience is applied in each and every moment of the present (this is done to death). Relationships are independent of love. My friends says “no such thing called love”

Love translates into?

1) security ( money car and marriage )
2) looks ( whole package )
3) Timing

………..This list is usually same as the above but……circumstances play a huge role.

Any relationship can be dissected through the knife of circumstances and timing. He and She go through certain circumstances to make them be in similar space. This space is time bound. Relationship changes in relation with time. And long distance relationships are for special few retarded people.

All this is general gyan about relationships. I started looking at existence of various human fears causing this chaos. We try to bet on certainty of our logic and emotions. Certainty tries to breed sense of security in our minds. Our partners define the way society looks at our status. The fear slowly starts when known becomes unknown. Time slowly changes the equations of a relationship.

1) Has love been reduced to a dependency factor between two individuals?
2) Are we always looking for better options?
3) Would we still be in same relationships in different time?
4) Is there a growing fear of dump-him-before-he-dumps you syndrome?

What has become of Love? Or such A THING

Death Of Our Old Polariod

Recently we learned Polaroid will stop producing its instant film for their iconic Polaroid cameras. This was inevitable as the company stopped making the instant camera years ago. The hope is someone, somewhere, will acquire the licensing rights to continue producing the instant film. But that likelihood seems slim given today's digital dominance.
Digital photography has its many advantages, but so does Polaroid’s instant photography. Geno Church from Brains on Fire is lamenting the loss of Polaroid instant film. For various marketing projects, Geno uses Polaroid instant film to capture a moment and immediately share that moment with others. Geno writes … “I’m a techy-geek type, but I’ve always liked the instant and open development of the photo. I’ve always thought that a Polaroid captured the moment in an authentic, fun way.”

My point of view:

This can be an example of our point of view towards changing opinion about lifestyle and products. Digital physiology is slowly turning humans into binary code. The slow death of Polaroid might have a story which symbolizes our current virtual society. An instant photo is tangible and real. We have started to choose digital photos which are digital and ephemeral in nature. Our hard drives are consisting millions of photos which we would never convert into real and tangible pictures. It is an orgy of excess. The beauty of photo albums is lost in folders of virtual space. We want to make physical objects or real life existence become obsolete
